Check it Out Films has submitted two short films to the Ottawa International Film Festival's 72 Hour Film Challenge!

“Writer's Block” and “It's Your Birthday” are currently posted for audience voting on the OIFF website to get a spot in the screenings on February 16th at the Lieutenant's Pump, there are only 10 spots and 21 completed short films so we need all your votes!

In addition, we are currently releasing our first mini-series called “Flirting With Strangers” beginning February 10th 2012

January 29, 2012 - "Writer's Block", a Thriller Directed by Mike Bigras and "It's Your Birthday", a Mockumentary Directed by Graeme Hay, have both been officially submitted to the Ottawa International Film Festival's 72 Hour Film Challenge! We made it! Job well done Mike and Graeme! Good luck to everyone that submitted films for the 72 Hour Film Challenge!

January 26, 2012 - Check it Out Films has registered to submit two films to the Ottawa International Film Festival 72 Hour Film Challenge. One film will be produced and directed by Michael Bigras and the other by Graeme Hay. The OIFF 72 Hour Film Challenge begins at 7 p.m. today and concludes at 7 p.m on Sunday January 29th. Final selections will be screened on February 16th at The Lieutenant's Pump on Elgin.

Check it Out Films is a new group of independent film makers located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Our first short film, “Who's in the Cage Now?”, was shot in Ottawa and completed in June of 2011. We have just submitted our fifth and sixth short films, to the OIFF 72 Hour Film Challenge. Take a look at some of our other current or past projects.
